Development of Tricking

This one is for the tricking instructors out there.  Is it possible to really have tricking coaches the way there are gymnastics coaches?  Perhaps in a less rigid sense yes.  I like to think that there will be opportunity for tricking coaches to set aside their own chase to help others achieve at a very high level.  How that should be done is up for debate, but here are my thoughts:

  1. Breaking down skills into easier components and progressions should be the cornerstone of tricking instruction.
  2. Controlled creative “lab” time must be implemented in order to breed innovation and style.
  3. The role of the coach is most similar to a gardener as opposed to a carpenter.
